LAHORE, Nov 16 The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has notified the first selection list of MBBS and BDS candidates against open merit for admission to all public sector medical and dental colleges of Punjab.

The number of open merit seats of MBBS in 11 public sector medical colleges of the Punjab is 1,961 which includes King Edward Medical University (262), Allama Iqbal Medical College (240), Fatima Jinnah Medical College (160), Services Institute of Medical Sciences (142) Nishtar Medical College (229), Punjab Medical College (251), Rawalpindi Medical College (251), Quaid-i-Azam Medical College (249), Sheikh Zayed Medical College, Rahim Yar Khan (78), Sargodha Medical College (59) and Nawaz Sharif Medical College, Gujrat (40).

The total number of BDS open merit seats in three dental colleges of the province is 175 which include de'Montmorency College of Dentistry (71), Nishtar Institute of Dentistry (54) and Dental Section Punjab Medical Colleges (DSPMC) Faisalabad (50).

The last merit of KEMU is 87.5545 per cent, AIMC 85.9364, FJMC 84.3909, SIMS 84.2273, NMC 84.1455, PMC 83.4182, RMC 83.3364, QAMC 82.8818, SMC 82.8182, NSMC 82.7909, SZMC 82.6818, DCD 82.5818, NID 82.4273 and that of DSPMC is 82.4091 per cent. The UHS says call letters to the selected candidates will be issued by the respective colleges. — Staff Reporter
