NICOSIA, April 1: Here is a breakdown of casualty figures given by various sources for the US-led war in Iraq that was in its 13th day on Tuesday.

IRAQ: The government has given various figures for different parts of Iraq, often without distinguishing between civilian and military losses:

An analysis of figures given by Baghdad indicates a minimum of 421 and maximum of 793 Iraqis killed, and between 4,006 and 5,601 wounded.

UNITED STATES

According to US military:

27 killed in action

12 killed in accidents

Two killed by US soldier

BRITAIN

According to British military:

Six killed in action

15 killed in accidents

Five killed by “friendly fire”

MEDIA
