ISLAMABAD, July 6 The Sanjh Theatre Group's play Hasan Kuza Gar based on Noon Meem Rashid's poems was staged at the National Art Gallery on Sunday night.

The writer, Syed Shiraz Manzoor Haider, has placed the play in the present time as antithesis of the original Hasan, the potter. The hero in the play does not believe in creating art for monetary gains and debates with the love of his life, a rich painter.

This gives an idea of the aesthetically brilliant composition mixed with prose and poetry, dance and mime, a play of several attitude of art mixed with romance.

In the story, Shahid, a Ravian, runs a technology business which he has built from scratch. His enterprise employs over 200 workmen spread throughout the country.

One attraction in the play is the dance by famed Nighat Chaudhry.

Yasra Rizvi plays the female lead and debuts in the play as a successful painter caught in the dilemma of painting for monetary gain or self expression.

The play has been directed by Mohammad Shahid Lone, while Lubna has created the set design.
