LAHORE, Jan 21 Barrister Javed Iqbal Jaffree on Thursday submitted to the Lahore High Court documentary proofs of the arrest of Dr Aafia Siddiqui from Pakistan.

He said the American CIA had arrested Dr Aafia from Karachi in 2003 and one of her sons was also killed during her arrest.

Mr Jafree also presented a copy of a judgment of South African constitutional court that had ordered the US court to stop trial of an African national.

He said the US court had not only followed the order of African court but also repatriated the African national to his home country.

He pointed out that the African court had passed the order to the same US court, which was now hearing Dr. Aafia's case on charges of attacking American soldiers in Afghanistan.

Barrister Jaffree filed these documents in his petition seeking action against the government for not approaching International Court of Justice (ICJ) to get Dr Aafia released from America.

The hearing of the petition is already fixed for Jan 25 before Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry.
