7 killed in two drone attacks

MIRAMSHAH, Oct 10 Seven people were killed and three others injured when US drones attacked a house and a car in Spinwam tehsil of North Waziristan on Sunday.

Four people were killed when two missiles hit the house owned by tribesman Awal Khan.

The identity of the dead and the injured could not be ascertained.

Sources said Awal Khan had links with militant groups.

Hours later another drone fired two missiles on the car near Kito bridge, killing three people.

The Spinwam tehsil is adjacent to the garrison town of Thall in Hangu district.

AP adds The area where the strikes occurred is dominated by a militant group led by Hafiz Gul Bahadur that regularly attacks Nato troops in Afghanistan, said Pakistani intelligence officials.

The strikes were the 9th and 10th carried out in Pakistan this month.
