KARACHI, May 8: Internal fighting among members of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan in the Manghopir area on Wednesday claimed two lives, police said.

Two members of the banned TTP were gunned down in Mianwali Colony apparently by their colleagues, said Pirabad SHO Abdul Moid.

They were having tea at a restaurant when a scuffle broke out between them, resulting in the death of Ghausudin, 26, and Saleem, added the SHO.

Their three colleagues managed to escape, he added.

They also had a criminal record as one of the deceased, Saleem, was even nominated in a case at the Pirabad police station, he said.

Policeman shot dead A policeman of Qaumi Razakar was gunned down in Frontier Colony, officials said.

“Dilawar Khan, 30, son of Behram Khan, was attacked by armed motorcyclists near his residence in Ghausia Mohalla,” said an official at the Pirabad police station.

The body was shifted to hospital, the official said, adding that the victim sustained three gunshot wounds.

He added the victim hailed from Swat.

Qari Hakeem, 24, was targeted in the Qayumabad area, said an official of the Sohrab Goth police station.

The SHO said the deceased was an Afghan. He had a ‘known criminal record’ for being involved in robberies, he added.
