LAHORE: A Lahore High Court full bench on Friday ordered the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) to prevent airing of a paid content by the PPP (Parliamentarians) on television channels containing an alleged telephonic conversation between former chief minister Shahbaz Sharif and Justice Malik Qayyum (retired).
The bench passed this stay order on a writ petition moved by Shahbaz Sharif making party to the Pemra, the Election Commission of Pakistan, the Pakistan Broadcasting Association and the PPP.
The bench directed the Pemra to submit a written reply on Saturday (today) and also issued a notice to the political party (PPP).
Earlier, Advocate Salman Aslam Butt on behalf of the former chief minister argued that the paid-content being aired by TV channels on behalf of the PPP was a violation of the Constitution and code of conduct issued by the ECP.

Why is it that when it comes to the Sharif brothers, the CJ does not take a suo motu action, instead the judges make sure that the brothers are get a clean chit? Shame on the Judiciary.

People of Pakistan has the right to know what their politicians and judges are doing. No justification for issuance of stay order on part of LHC.

It looks like the honorable LHC is taking sides and being unfair. If, what is being aired is not true then the concerned parties should file a suit in the court and then the LHC should direct Pemra to stop the airing of Paid Advertisement. Or the court should take a suo moto action against the PPP to protect the honor and dignity of its judge.
If it is true, then the court should take a Suo moto action against Mr. Shahbaz Sharif and the judge.

Why has the court ordered a stay ? why hasn't the court order an inquiry ? because its kith and kin is involved had it been pervaiz musharaf then another case would have been filed by the chief justice and he would have been arrested in it his bail denied.

Will that prove that Shahbaz Sharif did not try to influence the judicial verdict. Was Allah not listening and watching over him at that time. These Sharifs will not be raised in Lahore or Raiwind and there will be no court to stop lifting the lid from their true faces. PML (N) attacked supreme court, usurped foreign exchange earnings of overseas Pakistanis let off their own transactions a day earlier before banning them altogether, and abused their offices to uplift the properties bought by their empire in Raiwind. Hamza will import leopards from Liberia and Shahbaz Sharif's son -in-law will get away with public beatings and humiliation if ordinary salesman as he is above law. What a shame!

Shahbaz Sharif is paying the price of his slogan "Go Zardari Go". Having said that negative campaigning is not good for any one. Let every one campaign for their good works. Sorry to say that we as a nation are corrupt then why blame the leaders.

Interestingly neither the court nor Ex Chief Minister have denied the conversation. So this means the conversation is not fake, it did happen. This also means that atleast one of the judges is corrupt and the then CM was asking favors. Is Supreme court going to take a Suo Moto notice?
Remember as per Supreme court PML (N) also received funds from army. Court and ex CM only do not public to know the truth.
