Attackers of polio workers arrested in Karachi: CID

KARACHI : The Crime Investigation Department (CID) of police claimed to have arrested five members of a banned oraganisation who were involved in attacks on anti-polio workers during a raid operation conducted near Katti Pahari area in Karachi,DawnNews reported.

Tennis ball bombs were also recovered from the arrested suspects, according to police sources.

CID SSP Chaudhry Aslam told media persons that the arrested persons belonged to the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan Fazlullah group and were involved in attacks on polio workers.
