Flights for Balochistan cancelled

QUETTA, Oct 9: Quetta and four other airports of Balochistan have been closed for two days on Tuesday and Wednesday for flight operations. Four other airports are: Zhob, Panjgur, Turbat and Gwadar. However, Civil Aviation Authority or other concerned officials made no official announcement in this connection.

Sources said there will no PIA flight for these cities tomorrow.

“PIA flights were cancelled due to security reason,” a senior officials of Quetta airport said. He did not elaborate.

The fights cancelled on Tuesday include PK-339 Quetta Islamabad, and back to Quetta and Karachi, PK-311 Quetta Karachi Quetta, Pk- 352 Quetta Peshawar and Peshawar-Quetta.

The PIA flights scheduled for Wednesday have also been cancelled which include Quetta-Karachi two flights, Quetta-Islamabad, Quetta Peshawar and Peshawar Quetta.
