Carjackers held

ABBOTTABAD, Dec 4: The district police arrested six members of a carjackers gang who had allegedly taken away many vehicles after killing their drivers during the past two months. The police recovered the stolen vehicles.

The deputy superintendent of police, Cantonment, Mumtaz Zareen, said on Wednesday that the SSP of Abbottabad had formed three teams which had arrested Mohammad Shafiq, Jamil alias Makra, Mohammad Aslam, Asif Shah, Talal Shah, and Liaquat.

The DSP said the accused had admitted five offences, including the killing of Shiraz, the driver of Suzuki (LHP-4334), and the killing of Kala and Rukan Zaman, the driver and conductor of Suzuki pickup (KH-1911), respectively.—Correspondent
