Pakistan, S. Arabia trade

KARACHI, Dec 2: A trade and investment delegation from Saudi Arabia would be arranged to visit Pakistan for identifying Pakistani export market and set up processing units at Export Processing Zones, Abdul Aziz Mirza, Ambassador designate to Saudi Arabia said here Monday.

During his visit to the Karachi Chamber of Commerce, he said he would make every effort to enhance the bilateral trade between the two countries. In this regard, he said he was holding meetings with the businessmen to ascertain the problems being faced by them in doing business with Saudi Arabia.

In a meeting with the Senior Vice President Mohammad Salim Kapadia, he invited proposals and suggestions from the community for increasing the trade volume between the two countries and bringing them economically closer to each other. He said the traders facing any difficulty in Saudi Arabia should come to him without any hesitation and he would ensure that his staff and he himself extend all possible help and cooperation to the trading community.

He said that he would make sincere efforts to bring a delegation of Saudi traders to Pakistan.

He said he would try to convince the Saudi investors to set up their processing units in the Export processing zones of Pakistan. He also suggested that a delegation of Pakistan traders should also visit Saudi Arabia and arrange some exhibition of their products there. He said he would hold meetings with the Saudi officials to allow Pakistanis to work in Saudia without any fear and threat.—APP
