CHAMAN, Nov 9: Ramazan has proved a boon for the traders here as they have raised the prices of essential commodities with the advent of this holy month.

A brief survey of the market shows that beef is being sold at Rs85 per kg and mutton at Rs155 per kg while the price of chicken has been raised to Rs80 per kg.

The price control committee is non-existent here while the local authorities have failed to control the prices of kitchen items.

Citizens have appealed to the government to check the prices and take action against profiteers.—APP
