LARKANA, Oct 8: The district and sessions judge, Larkana, here on Tuesday granted bail to three PPP election candidates, who are accused of having ordered preparation of fake National Identity Cards.

The arrested accused of preparation of fake NICs and education certificates, Meher Bozdar, in his confessional statement before a magistrate on Monday, has disclosed the names of the PPP candidates, Hizbullah Bughio (NA-205, Larkana-II), Khalid Iqbal Memon (NA-206, Larkana- III) and Ayaz Soomro (PS-37, Larkana III),

Abdul Razzak Soomro appeared on behalf of the candidates, to each of whom the sessions judge, Hussain Bakhsh Khoso, granted Rs70,000 bail.

The next hearing is fixed for Oct 25 for the confirmation of the bail.

Bozdar, in his confession recorded before the third judicial magistrate, alleged that about a week back, Soomro, through his man, ordered 15,000 NICs and provided a list and photographs of the people, hailing from Ratodero and Mirokhan, on whose names the NICs were to be made. Later, he received the NICSs, Bozdar alleged.

Following this, Bughio and Memon ordered 14,000 and 7,500 NICSs respectively for the people of Dokri, Warah and Kambar.
