Delhi claims Islamabad behind attack

GANDHINAGAR, Sept 25: India said on Wednesday it believed Pakistan may be behind the attack on a temple in Gujarat on Tuesday.

“Our enemy has been speaking of Gujarat in recent times and even last week our enemy spoke of Gujarat in the United Nations, so it seems that the plan was on for quite some time,” Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani told reporters at the site of the bloodbath.

Advani linked the raid on the temple to the “success” of elections currently being held in four stages in occupied Kashmir.

He said it was part of ongoing attacks on Indian targets by militants he alleged were supported by Pakistan.—AFP
