Three killed in Kashmir

SRINAGAR, July 29: Three people, including a village chief, were killed in occupied Kashmir and 13 civilians injured on Monday in a grenade attack, police said.

Unidentified men shot dead Mohammad Amin, the head of the village of Kunzer in the northern Baramulla district.

Police also recovered the headless body of a woman near the town of Bandipora, 60kms north of Srinagar. The woman had been abducted before her death.

In Pulwama, some 30kms south of Srinagar, 13 civilians were injured in a grenade attack police blamed on freedom fighters. —AFP
