KARACHI: Another Harkat man held

KARACHI, July 24: Pakistan Rangers on Wednesday showed the arrest of Mohammad Ashraf Khan, an activist of Harkatul Mujahideen Al-Alami in connection with a car bomb explosion near the US Consulate on June 14.

In an official handout, the rangers said Ashraf, resident of house No 23/16, 3/D, Nazimabad No 3, was the treasurer of the organization. He named Mohammad Imran, Mohammad Hanif, Naveedul Hasan, Sharif, Mustafa, Kamran alias Atif, and Ahmed alias Daniyal as his accomplices, they added.

Sources said Ashraf was picked up a couple of days back and his arrest was shown on Wednesday. Mohammad Imran, Chief of Harkatul Mujahideen al-Alami and its militant wing’s chief Mohammad Hanif had also been picked up by rangers soon after the car bomb blast near the US Consulate on June 14, and their arrest was shown on July 7 at a press conference.
