10 injured in land dispute

DADU, June 26: Ten people were injured in an armed clash between two groups of businessmen over a dispute over a plot in Sita Road town on Wednesday.

Both groups used guns, axes, and iron rods in the clash as a result of which Rustam, Miral, Ahmed Solangi, Sikandar, Ashiq, Moosa, Ali Hassan Mallah, Ranjhan, Mukhtiar, and Badaruddin were injured.

All were admitted to a local hospital.

The Rukkan police have registered two separate FIRs against 13 people.

KIDNAPPED: A married woman was kidnapped over an old enmity in the Raswah village, Kotri Taluka, on Wednesday.

Four armed men entered the house of one M. Sharif Shoro, and kidnapped Meeran (16), wife of Manzoor Ali Shoro.

The Kotri police have registered an FIR against the four — Aman, Khuda Bux, Noor, and Adloo.

ARRESTED: Three armed men blocked the Sindhri Butra-Mehar link road and snatched a motorcycle (KCC-087) from a man, Khalid Sarhandi, while he was headed towards the Bali Shah village on Tuesday.

The Thariri Mohabbat police chased the accused and was able to arrest one of them, Sudheer Chandio, near the Koti Khokhar village, while the other two managed to escape taking advantage of the darkness.
