DHARAMSHALA, March 5: One of the members of Pakistan cricket team who has had a fair share of run-ins with India is all-rounder Abdul Razzaq.

"We have come here well prepared. And having played against India many times, I am looking forward to making crucial contributions in the Test and one-day series," Razzaq, who made a sparkling 63 against Indian Board President's XI on second day of their match said.

A genuine all-rounder who excelled during 1999 World Cup, Razzaq has come up with many heroic performances for Pakistan. His clean hitting and lethal in-cutters have won many accolades from observers of the game.

"I know I have not been up to the mark in recent times. But I am trying to lift my game so that I get back onto top rung of all rounders again," he said, agreeing in a way that he had not realised his potential to the fullest.

He said former captains Wasim Akram and Moin Khan helped him develop as a fullsome cricketer.

"I think Moin and Wasim were best captains for me. When I started, Wasim was my skipper and he utilised me well and it was same with Moin. They knew my potential and backed me well," he said.

Akram was mastermind behind Razzaq's promotion up the order during World Cup in England where he thrived batting one-down in difficult conditions. His performances gave him reputation of being one of the most dangerous batsmen in limited version of the game.

Meanwhile, Pakistan team will leave Sunday morning for Mohali to play first Test against India starting from March 8.-PPI
