KARACHI: Invitations to ulema

KARACHI, March 5: The State Minister for Religious Affairs, Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain, on Saturday extended invitations to a number of Ulema and Mashaikh from various schools of thought to the 'Ulema and Mashaikh Sindh Convention' being held on Tuesday at the Governor House.

He invited them on behalf of the president of Pakistan. The convention will also be addressed by Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz.

The Ulema assured they would attend the convention to demonstrate unity, cohesion, understanding, brotherhood and religious harmony.

The state minister personally extended invitations to Mufti Mohammad Naeem, Allama Shabbir Ahmed Azhari, Haji Hanif Blue, Allama Shah Turabul Haq Qadri, Maulana Syed Ahmed Jalalpuri, Mufti Munibur Rehman, Wali Razi, Mufti Rafi Usmani, Allama Zafar Naqvi and Hafiz Mohammad Sulfi and others, besides the Ulema from Jamia Banoria. - APP
