LAHORE, March 20: Pakistan go into Sunday's fourth One-day International against India aiming not to give away excessive extra runs as they bid to take an unbeatable lead in the five-game series at the Qadhafi Stadium.

Captain Inzamamul Haq, his side 2-1 up, conceded on Saturday that it was quite a problem for them to control the extras but said that gradually they would be able to overcome it.

The home side has to curb that tendency not gradually but fairly quickly if they nourish hopes of winning the series. The generosity of the Pakistan bowlers has been such that they gifted 38 extras in the opening game at Karachi, 37 at Rawalpindi and another 33 in Friday's third match played in Peshawar for a total of 108.

The captain, however, is fully aware how important Sunday's game is for Pakistan. "It is a very crucial match and we have to play as we did in the last two matches and try our best to win tomorrow."

Pakistan are not likely to make any changes to the side that scored a four-wicket victory on Friday while India now have Amit Bindhari available for selection. The Delhi seamer arrived in Lahore on Friday as a replacement for the injured Ashish Nehra.

"If he is in the playing eleven or not is yet to be decided," Indian captain Saurav Ganguly said.

But Ganguly is beginning to miss his spinners Anil Kumble and Harbajan Singh, both of whom could not make the tour because of injuries."I missed them yesterday, we have been hampered by injuries to our key bowlers, especially our two main spinners Kumble and Harbajan. They have been an integral part of our success for quite a long time."

"When you miss your key bowlers, obviously it is going to be difficult but that is not an excuse, we could have still pulled the game off when they were 170 for six."

Pakistan rode on a fine innings of 98 by opener Yasir Hameed and Abdul Razzaq's quickfire 53 not out to score a four-wicket victory at Peshawar's Arbab Niaz Stadium.

The wicket prepared for Sunday's match has a bit of grass on it and looks good, Ganguly said while Inzamam pointed out that he preferred positive pitches that help both the bowlers and the batsman like the one in Peshawar.

Thousands of fans from across the border are expected to watch the match and the one that follows on Wednesday at the same venue with Inzamam dismissing the idea that his side would be under pressure because of them.

"I think the pressure would be on India who will have their fans watching them,' he said in a lighter vein.

Ganguly admitted that pressure to win in International cricket was always there. "I think both teams will be under pressure."

Both sides had nets at the Qadhafi Stadium where they have met four times in the past, the last in 1997 when Pakistan beat India by nine wickets. Out of the total four games played between them at this venue, Pakistan have won three times, losing once.
