PESHAWAR, Oct 28: The visiting Dutch Prime Minister, Wim Kok, has said that his country would extend all possible help and assistance to the displaced Afghan families, besides taking active part in reconstruction of the war-ravaged country.

During his visit to the Kacha Ghari refugee camp here on Sunday, the Dutch premier asked the refugees to demonstrate tolerance and patience over the US strikes, as, he said, it would follow a comprehensive political process and humanitarian assistance to help reconstruct the war-torn country.

He said that his country had a firm commitment to work for a stable government in Kabul.

The Dutch premier, accompanied by Netherlands Minister for Development and Dutch ambassador to Pakistan, had a detailed visit of the Kacha Ghari camp wherein he also visited an EPI centre, TB hospital, Saudi Red Crescent Medical Institute, and a primary school run by GTZ.

While supporting the ongoing military action against terrorists hideouts in Afghanistan, he said it had become inevitable.

Later, the Dutch prime minister attended a briefing on the situation of Afghan refugees at the camp.
