Man kills wife, her parents

BAHAWALNAGAR, April 7: A man shot dead six members of a family, including his wife, her parents and her sister, over a family dispute in Macleod Ganj, Minchanabad tehsil, about 50km from here on Wednesday. The area police told APP that accused Ghulam Mustafa had been arrested. The accused went to his in-laws’ house in Marzeka mauza and opened fire as a result his wife Shahnaz Bibi, mother-in-law Sheeman Bibi, father-in-law Khushi Mohammad, sister-in-law Basraan Bibi, Karamnishan Bibi, and guest Mohammad Ali were killed on the spot.

Another sister-in-law of the accused, Sughran Bibi, suffered serious bullet injuries.

Accused Mustafa’s wife was living with her parents for the last six months, police said.

AFP adds: The injured Sughran Bibi is a teenage girl.

Witnesses told police they had seen two other people fleeing after the shooting, police said.
