ISLAMABAD, March 3: Pakistan will play a football match against India in London in April or May this year with the support of a well-known football club of that city.

This was stated by Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Northern Areas, Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat, who is also the President of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), during his visit to London, according to reports available on Thursday.

Faisal said the Indian football team would also visit Pakistan before the match in London. "I have spoken to officials of Queen's Park Rangers (QPR) football club in London, who have promised to extend full support for organising the match," the minister was quoted as saying.

He said he had also held talks with officials of London's soccer giants Chelsea and Arsenal. "The Pakistan-India match in London will attract native sub-continent people living in UK. It will also be one of the confidence building measures for normalising relations between Pakistan and India," he added. -APP
