KARACHI, Dec 30: Top seed Adnan Khan will take on third seed Danish Ahmed in the final of the Pakistan Juniors Tennis Championship 2004 which will be played at the Defence Sunset Club on Friday at 3:00 p.m.

Adnan dominating from the start with his powerful left-handed service and backhand drives down the flank, found absolutely no difficulty in downing No.4 seed Ali Abdullah 6-1, 6-2.

Bespectacled Danish on the other hand had a more difficult task while eliminating the sixth seed Nasir Mushtaq, a promising 14-year-old youngster, who somehow never got is game moving in full flow.

The first set was evenly fought with the game scores tied at 3-3. But Nasir ran into a series of unforced errors which helped his opponent to pick up the first set 6-3.

Although he tried desperately hard to come back on even keel, Nasir found Danish always a step ahead, building up the score line with fine cross court smashes and deft volleys which enabled him to grab the second set also at 6-2.

In the Juniors Doubles final, top seeds Adnan Khan and Yasir Khan bowed out in the semi-finals to fourth seeds Jahangir Rashid and Mateen Arif, who were awarded a walk-over as Yasir could not come on court for his doubles match, struck down with high fever.

This untimely mishap was indeed a great blow for Adnan, who was going all out to bag a double crown. Jahangir and Mateen will now meet Danish Ahmed and Ali Abdullah in the final which will be played at 9.00 a.m.
