SHEIKHUPURA, Dec 30: Doctors and the para-medical staff of the local DHQ Hospital went on strike on Thursday when a patient misbehaved with an eye specialist.

Sarwar Dogar, a close relative of ex-MPA Mehboob Dogar, approached Dr Ashiq for his medical check-up. The patient fell into a rage and misbehaved the doctor when he could not examine him in time.

Consequently, all the doctors and the para-medical staff went on strike and did not attend to the patients. They pledged to continue their strike till the arrest of Sarwar Dogar.

When contacted, patient denied that he had maltreated Dr Ashiq, claiming that the doctor had ignored him and was attending to the patients from whom he had taken the fee.
