KARACHI, Aug 5: Chairman of the Sindh National Front (SNF) Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto on Thursday described launching of the military operation in Balochistan as 'mistake'.

Mr Bhutto, after his return home from Europe, said in a statement that the same mistake had been committed by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto who had to face consequences of the mistake.

He was of the view that military action was no solution to the problems which had created undesirable conditions in Balochistan or tribal areas of the country. Rather, he added, such actions would only cause a deterioration in the situation.

Attributing the 'alarming' situation all over the country to the failure of the government, Mumtaz Bhutto said that the government had neither succeeded in controlling the situation, nor could it provide any relief to masses. -PPI
