ISLAMABAD, July 16: The Central Board of Revenue has revised downward the rates of duty drawback on exports of various kinds of fabrics. The new rates will be applicable retrospectively from July 1, 2004 , said a customs notification issued on Thursday.

The new rates of duty drawback will be Rs1.32 per kg on export of grey blended fabrics made of polyester staple fibre (PSF) applicable to all blends from 15pc PSF and 85 per cent cotton to 25pc PSF and 75pc cotton; Rs2.14 per kg on export of grey blended fabrics made of PSF applicable to all blends from 30pc PSF and 70pc cotton to 40pc PSF and 55pc cotton; Rs2.96 per kg on export of grey blended fabrics made of PSF applicable to all blends from 50pc PSF and 50pc cotton to 60pc PSF and 40pc cotton; Rs3.78 per kg on export of grey blended fabrics made of PSF applicable to all blends from 65pc PSF and 35pc cotton to 80pc PSF and 20pc cotton.

The rate of duty drawback will be Rs2.07 on bleached blended fabrics made of PSF and cotton fibre applicable to all blends from 15pc PSF and 85pc cotton to 25 pre cent PSF and 75pc cotton; Rs2.89 on bleached blended fabrics made of PSF and cotton fibre applicable to all blends from 30pc PSF and 70pc cotton to 45pc PSF and 55pc cotton; Rs3.71 on bleached blended fabrics made of PSF and cotton fibre applicable to all blends from 50pc PSF and 50pc cotton to 60pc PSF and 40pc cotton; Rs4.52 on bleached blended fabrics made of PSF and cotton fibre applicable to all blends from 65pc PSF and 35pc cotton to 80pc PSF and 20pc cotton.

The rate will be Rs4.43 per kg on dyed or printed blended fabrics made of PSF and cotton fibre applicable to all blends from 15pc PSF and 85pc cotton to 25pc PSF and 75pc cotton; Rs5.25 per kg on dyed or printed blended fabrics made of PSF and cotton fibre applicable to all blends from 30pc PSF and 70pc cotton to 45pc PSF and 55pc cotton; Rs6.15 per kg on dyed or printed blended fabrics made of PSF and cotton fibre applicable to all blends from 50pc PSF and 50pc cotton to 60pc PSF and 40pc cotton; Rs6.83 per kg on dyed or printed blended fabrics made of PSF and cotton fibre applicable to all blends from 65pc PSF and 35pc cotton to 80pc PSF and 20pc cotton.

The rate will be 1.72pc of the fob value on grey blended garments, wearing apparel (all blends of PSF from 15 per cent and cotton fibre); 1.72pc of the fob value on bleached blended garments, wearing apparel (all blends of PSF from 15pc and cotton fibre); 2.18pc of the fob value on dyed or printed blended garments, wearing apparel (all blends of PSF fibre from 15pc and cotton fibre; 1.55pc of fob value on grey blended made-ups - bed wear, curtain, table linen, etc., (all blends of PSF fibre from 15pc and cotton fibre); 1.77pc of fob value on bleach blended made-ups - bed wear, curtain, table linen, etc., (all blends of PSF fibre from 15pc and cotton fibre); 2.68pc of fob value on dyed or printed blended made-ups - bed wear, curtain, table linen, etc., (all blends of PSF fibre from 15pc and cotton fibre).

The rate will be Rs2.63 per kg on grey blended fabrics made of PSF fibre and cotton fibre containing 48pc PSF and 52pc cotton; Rs2.25 per kg on grey blended fabrics made of PSF fibre and cotton fibre containing 40pc PSF and 60pc cotton; Rs3.38 per kg on bleach blended fabrics made of PSF fibre and cotton fibre containing 48pc PSF and 52pc cotton; Rs3 per kg on bleach blended fabrics made of PSF fibre and cotton fibre containing 40pc PSF and 60pc cotton; Rs5.74 per kg on dyed or printed blended fabrics made of PSF fibre and cotton fibre containing 48pc PSF and 52pc cotton; Rs5.37 per kg on dyed and printed blended fabrics made of PSF fibre and cotton fibre containing 40pc PSF and 60pc cotton.

And the rate be Rs4.91 per kg on grey fabric made of 100pc onward PSF; Rs5.24 per kg on bleached fabric made of 100pc onward PSF; Rs6.05 per kg on dyed and printed fabric made of 100pc onward PSF; 1.65pc of the fob value on grey napkins and aprons made of 100pc onward PSF; 1.76pc of the fob value on bleached napkins and aprons made of 100pc onward PSF; 2.03pc of the fob value on dyed and printed napkins and aprons made of 100pc onward PSF.
