HYDERABAD, June 29: The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Sindh, Mr Mazharul Haq Siddiqui, has said that the university will publish unpublished works of Dr N.A. Baloch including letters written and received, by him.

He was speaking at the launching ceremony of Dr Baloch's book titled "Piyaran Ja Paigham" on the premises of the Sindhi Language Authority. The book comprises more then 1,000 letters and has been published by the Manik Moti Tanzeem.

The vice-chancellor said that intellectuals and scholars were a source of inspiration for society. He said that Dr Baloch had played a key role in the promotion of education as well as Sindhi language, literature and culture, adding that his services could never be forgotten.

Dr Baloch, in his short speech, said that life was short but a lot of work needed to be done. He said that he was a servant of society and it was his duty to work for the promotion of education, literature and language.

Others who spoke on the occasion included Syed Ali Mir Shah, Shaukat Hussain Shoro, Taj Joyo, Inayat Baloch, Parvano Bhatti and Zaib Sindhi.

BA RESULTS: The University of Sindh on Tuesday announced the results of B.A (pass) part-II annual examination 2003. The controller of examination announced that 10,679 candidates had appeared in the examination out of which 337 were declared successful in first class, 6,772 in second class and 754 in third class. As many as 1,789 candidates have failed in different subjects whereas 282 candidates were reported copying in the examination.
