KARACHI, June 29: The Karachi University on Tuesday announced results of BA (Regular and External) Part-II annual examinations 2003, with a pass percentage of 61.15.

According to a KU notification, the top three positions in the merit list of successful candidates were secured by three female candidates belonging to two government colleges, besides one private college. The examinations were held in December last.

As many as 17,191 candidates were registered for the examination, while 16,544 appeared. A total of 1,192 candidates (7.20 per cent) got first division, while 7,438 (44.95 per cent) were placed in second division and 1,488 (8.9 per cent) in third division.

The results of 202 candidates have been withheld for various reasons, including incomplete enrolment/registration documents, unauthorized change of centres and use of unfair means in the examination.

Those who clinched positions are: Sana Razzak, seat no 26844, DHA Degree College for Women (first position); Hina Sharif, seat no 26418, Govt PECHS College for Women (second) and Sana Nasir, seat no 26633, Govt PECHS College for Women (third).
