PPP concerned over attack

KARACHI, June 10: The Pakistan Peoples' Party has expressed shock over terrorist attack on Karachi corps commander's convoy and said that when such important people were not safe then who would protect the common citizens.

A statement issued by the media cell at Bilawal House on Thursday said that such a situation developed when political forces were pushed to the wall and the military got involved in politics, which placed its handpicked elements at the helm.

The spokesman said that it was a matter of shame and concern that while such serious terrorist attacks were taking place, the ruling clique was engaged in pushing its opponents to the wall and denying them their due democratic rights. The PPP also condoled with the families of those who were killed in the terrorist attack.
