NEW YORK, April 6: The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) would file a class action lawsuit against the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) , challenging the list of travellers that the government has barred from flying because they're considered a threat, the group spokesman announced on Monday.
The ACLU contends that some people are wrongfully put on the list. The civil rights group is representing seven plaintiffs including a retired minister, a college student and a member of the military.
Last week the ACLU took up the case of Mr Asif Iqbal, a Pakistani green card holder who was blocked repeatedly from boarding an airplane, since he has the same name as an individual who had been detained in Guantanamo Bay for two years.
