ISLAMABAD, March 28: Sindh Communication, Works and Services Minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim called on Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali at the Prime Minister's House here on Sunday.

Emphasizing the need to further explore energy resources, the prime minister said that exploration of Thar coal would supplement the country's existing energy output and boost the economy of Sindh.

He said that future development strategy would focus on infrastructure development to ensure economic growth. "This will give boost to both domestic and foreign investment, create more job opportunities and will alleviate poverty," he added.

Mr Rahim informed the prime minister about the infrastructure development projects including rehabilitation of roads in Sindh.

Two businessmen from the UK, Iftikhar Chaudhry and Amanullah, who hail from Gujar Khan called on the prime minister. They thanked Mr Jamali for providing gas to Changa Mera village of Gujar Khan tehsil.
