MULTAN, Aug 30: Judgment in the Meerwala gang-rape case, reserved by the Anti-Terrorism Court, Dera Ghazi Khan Judge, Malik Zulfiqar Ali, on Tuesday, will be announced on Saturday, Aug 31.

The sordid side of the story is that the gang-rape was allegedly authorised by a Punchayat.

Fourteen accused comprised four rapists and ten juror-abettors. Alleged rapists are; Abdul Khaliq, Ghulam Farid, Allah Ditta and Mohammad Fayyaz.

Alleged juror-abettors are: Faiz Bux Mastoi (head juror), Ramzan Pachar, Mohammad Aslam, Allah Ditta, Khalil Ahmad, Ghulam Hussain, Huzoor Bux, Rasool Bux, Mohammad Qasim and Nazir Hussain.—APP
