HYDERABAD, June 20: Three women from Nawabshah, married to three brothers, have appealed to the Sindh government and PPP co-chairman Asif Zardari to protect their families against the alleged excesses of the murderers of their father-in-law and restore justice to them failing which, they will commit suicide with their children outside the Bilawal House in Karachi.

At a news conference at the press club here on Friday, Hameeda, wife of Ahmed Din, Shahida, wife of Ruknuddin, and Rahila, wife of Mohkamuddin, residents of Ghulam Rasool Shah Colony, Nawabshah, said that two years ago, their father-in-law Haji Mehruddin Qureshi was killed by the members of Qureshi community over some dispute.

They said that the trial of the case had been completed by the Nawabshah session court and the judgement was awaited. They said that the accused have become desperate and those who were released on bail, were threatening them, their husbands and other family members of dire consequences.

They alleged that on June 10, the accused attacked their shops in Chhakra bazaar and subjected their husbands and children to torture in presence of other shopkeepers and then went to the police station and lodged a false FIR against their husbands.They said that again on June 18, the accused entered their house and tortured the female members and children and warned them of serious consequences if the murder case was not withdrawn. They alleged that the accused were being supported by a local PPP leader.

They appealed to the high officials of the Sindh government and PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari to provide them with justice against the murderers of their father-in-law. They threatened of committing suicide along with heir children outside Bilawal House Karachi if they were not provided with justice.
