GUJRANWALA, June 12: Robbers plundered Rs3 million in cash from a bank branch on Hafizabad Road on Thursday.

Reports said four robbers reached Allied bank’s Hafizabad Road branch where two of them stormed in and held up the entire staff, including manager, and bagged Rs3 million in cash.

They manhandled a banker, Iftikhar Ahmad who tried to resist, and soon rejoined the two accomplices standing guard outside the building and escaped.

On information, DIG Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema reached there and gleaned information.

ACCIDENT: A passenger was killed and 18 others were injured in a collision between a wagon and car on Sialkot Road on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Irfan Ali and the injured were hospitalised. — Correspondent
