Four ‘robbers’ arrested

QUETTA, June 5: Police arrested four alleged robbers after an encounter in the Nawan Killi area on Thursday.

Deputy inspector general Qazi Abdul Wahid told journalists that 14 stolen motorcycles, 11 vehicles and illegal arms and ammunition had been found in their possession.

He accused them of being involved in cases of robbery and kidnapping and other crimes.

He said the robbers were trying to kidnap a man after robbing him when a police party patrolling the area intervened.

The accused opened fire and police returned fire.—Staff Correspondent
