QUETTA, May 31: A security man was killed and three others were injured when militants attacked a convoy of Frontier Corps in the Karmo Wadh area of Kohlu district on Saturday.

A spokesman for the Baloch Liberation Army claimed responsibility for the attack and said that over 30 security personnel had been killed in the attack.

Officials said that FC personnel were patrolling the Karmo Wadh area when they came under the attack. The militants used heavy weapons, including rockets. Security personnel returned fire.

The ensuing exchange of fire continued for about an hour. An FC soldier, identified as Ghulab Khan, was killed and three others were wounded. They were taken to a hospital in Sui by helicopter.
