KARACHI, May 6: A 24-year-old man was shot dead at the doorsteps of his house by two unknown attackers on a motorcycle in Liaquatabad.

The victim was identified as Zeeshan, son of Abdul Khaliq.

Super Market police said two motorcyclists came to the victim’s house around midnight, knocked at the door and opened fire as the victim appeared.

They said a case against unknown assailants was registered on the complaint of the victim’s cousin Kamran.

The police said the preliminary investigation into the murder revealed that the victim had been jobless for quite some time and he had given Rs160,000 to a recruitment agent, namely Ahmed, for going abroad.

They said the victim and the agent had reportedly exchanged hot words a day before the incident over the delayed departure abroad of the victim. The police said they were making efforts to track down the agent.
