JACOBABAD, May 2: A large number of people and political leaders set up a hunger strike camp against the kidnapping of three children from city area of Kandhkot at Library chowk on Friday.Engineer Lal Motwani, Nandlal, Sadiq Hussain Golato, Shahid Malik, Nasrullah Bijarani, Ghansham Ghahani, Nasrullah Chachar and about 300 other people of the city and political leaders participated in the token hunger strike which lasted for three hours.

Talking to reporters, they said that the police had failed to recover the kidnapped children — Iram, 3, Tahira, 5, and Veeraj Kumar, and 10 others children — who had been kidnapped one month ago from Kandhkot.

They said that the DPO assured them that the children would be recovered soon but the promise was not fulfilled.

The protesters warned that if the children were not recovered within 24 hours, they would observe shutterdown strike for two days starting from Saturday.

On Thursday, the people of Kandhkot took out a rally against the kidnapping of three minor children, including two girls within the limits of A-section police station of Kandhkot, on Thursday.

Hundreds of people staged a protest and observed token hunger strike for four hours at library chowk which led to suspension of traffic.

PPP-SB workers also took out a separate rally against the kidnappings.

The rally was started from library chowk and after marching through main roads, reached at tower road.

The protesters were carrying banners and placards and were raising slogans for the recovery of the kidnapped children.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr A.G. Ansari, vice-president of PMA, Sindh, Dr Fozia Khoso, Dr Usmera, Dr Rubina and Dr Abdul Hameed Ansari said that the commission passed doctors had not been issued posting orders.
