Reconstituted PC Board meets today

ISLAMABAD, April 29: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani has reconstituted the Board of Privatisation Commission.

Syed Naveed Qamar, Minister for Privatisation and Investment, will head the PC Board as its chairman.The first meeting of the new PC board will be held here on Wednesday to reportedly discuss the new privatisation policy and disinvestment of various state sector units by June 30 this year.

According to handout issued here on Tuesday, the new board includes Engr Iftikhar ul Haq remained member PC board from 1993 to 1996 and from 2003 to Feb 2008, Mr Laeeq Ahmed remained member PC board from April 1994-96, Mr Abdul Latif Yousafzai, former deputy attorney general and former vice president of the Supreme Court Bar Association is from Swabi (NWFP), Mr Pervaiz A. Khan is presently CEO Uch Power Project, having diversified experience in energy sector and corporate investment banking, Mr Mahmood Nawaz Shah remained member PC Board from March 2003 to Feb 2008, Mr Hameedullah Khan Paracha, having vast corporate and management experience, is chairman Zainub Habibullah (Trust) Hospital and Mr Ahmed Jawad, secretary/member PC.
