LAHORE, April 24: A 30-year-old youth was tortured to death allegedly by two drug traffickers in Factory Area here on Thursday.

Muhammad Javed of Firdous Park, Millat Road, was rushed to the Lahore General Hospital with critical torture wounds where he was pronounced dead.

The victim’s brother, Muhammad Iqbal, told police that two drug peddlers kidnapped his brother Javed and took him to an unknown place where they subjected him to severe torture. The accused later took him to the hospital and escaped after leaving him in a critical condition.

He said the accused suspected that his brother was passing information about their monkey business to the police. To give him a lesson, the accused took his life, Iqbal told the police.
