Cop gunned down

QUETTA, April 18: A constable of the railways police was gunned down and two others were injured on Thursday.

According to police, constable Amin Atif and head constable Munir Ahmed were going to the Railway Colony when two people on a motorcycle opened fire on them. The constable died on the spot while the head constable and a passerby suffered bullet injuries. They were taken to the civil hospital. The passerby was identified as Abdul Sattar.

The Baloch Liberation Army has claimed responsibility for the attack. —Staff Correspondent
