GHALANAI, April 14: Three trucks laden with flour were looted by angry mob some 50 km north of here on Monday.

According to details, three trucks carrying flour from Nawagai to Afghanistan were stopped by angry mob and looted when they reached the famous and historic area of Mamad Gat.

It was the third such incident that happened in Mohmand Agency in the wake of alleged smuggling of flour to Afghanistan via different routes through the agency.

THREE KIDNAPPED: Three persons were allegedly kidnapped from Chapor Abdal Kor in tehsil Pindiali, some 22 kilometres from here, on Monday morning.

Sources told Dawn that some unknown gunmen came early in the morning in two pickups and took away three local men identified as Nasib Khan son of Mir Akbar, Muhammad Wali son of Faiz Talab and Yar Mullah son of Dawar Khan, from their homes and shifted them to some unknown location.

POPPY CROP DESTROYED: The tribesmen have voluntarily destroyed poppy crop cultivated on over 100 kanals of land during a week-long drive in Utmanzai and Essakhel regions of Tehsil Pindiali after a consultative meeting, political naib tehsildar Miraj Ali told Dawn.
