KHAIRPUR, March 30: Bodies of two kidnapped villagers were found in an area under Babarloi police station in Khairpur taluka, on Saturday. However, no case had been registered till Sunday due to a dispute over jurisdiction.

Ghulam Mohammad Shaikh, 28, and Mohammad Qasim Shaikh 25, were kidnapped and their bodies were found in date palm orchards.

The bodies were handed over to relatives who took them to Budho village in Ghotki.

According to Babarloi police, the two villagers were killed in the jurisdiction of Kandhra police station in Rohri taluka, whereas their bodies were later thrown in date palm orchards in jurisdiction of Babarloi police station.

Contesting the claim, Kandhra police said that the to had been killed in the jurisdiction of Babarloi police station and their bodies were also found there, hence the case should be registered with Babarloi police.

FREED: A Moro-based journalist, who was kidnapped 14 days ago, was freed by the kidnappers in Dadu on Saturday night, reports our Naushahro Feroze correspondent.

Zafar Tagar alias Gahno Tagar, kidnapped from Moro, was freed on Saturday night near the house of a former federal minister.

Zafar Tagar told journalists that the kidnappers dropped him in Dadu on Saturday night with a warning that he should not fight with the people. He claimed that he knew the names of the kidnappers and would disclose them later.

When contacted, DPO Zulfiqar Ali Larik, said that the matter needed a thorough investigation. The DPO, however, confirmed that FIR No 108/08 under section 365-A PPC was lodged on the complaint of the man’s brother Ghulam Ali at Moro police station on Sunday against five unknown persons.

NABBED: A man was nabbed by relatives when he was allegedly trying to kidnap a 10-year-old boy from railway station in Jacobabad on Sunday, our Jacobabad correspondent adds.

The boy, Raheel, went to railway station to meet his father Abdul Fatah, a railway employee, but one Abdul Qadir tried to kidnap him near the railway godown. The boy raised a hue and cry. Police arrested him with the help of people.
