Woman confesses to killing husband

LARKANA, March 18: Mystery surrounding the murder of Qurban Kalhoro was resolved when the deceased’s wife confessed to killing, on Tuesday.

Najma, wife of deceased Qurban Kalhoro confessed before police of killing her husband to get rid of his tortures. The SHO Market police station Asad Nabi Khichi confirming to ‘Dawn’ the incident said Saeed Kalhoro their son had registered FIR against his mother for killing his father.

Najma was taken into custody and kept at Women Police Station for investigation. Police also picked their two daughters for abetting in the crime sources said adding police was keeping it a secret.

The alleged killer on Friday gave fake information to police about missing of her husband. Actually she fired at him in his sleep and buried the body in courtyard with the help of two daughters.

As the stink began spreading she dug out the body and in an attempt to hush up the crime threw it on the street masquerading as if someone had kidnapped the deceased and after killing left his dead body there.

After autopsy the dead body was handed over to the relatives while suspecting something fishy police took Najma into custody.

The SHO said during interrogation she disclosed that to save herself from tortures she killed her husband while her two daughters helped in burying the dead body in the house.

The deceased had been issuing threats of killing her and trying to arrange marriage of the daughters against their will, she alleged.
