ISLAMABAD, March 17: Pakistan Muslim League-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said on Monday he wished the PPP and PML-N coalition government success and hoped the two parties would continue their cooperation in the larger interest of the country.

Talking to newsmen after the oath-taking session of the National Assembly, Chaudhry Shujaat said: “We will wait for the fulfilment of the promises made by the two parties during elections.”

In reply to a question about Article 58(2)b of the Constitution, the PML-Q leader said the need for using the clause might not arise if the assembly played its constitutional role.

About the new ruling coalition’s plan to restore judges through a resolution, Mr Shujaat said: “Parliament cannot do so because there are thousands of other resolutions rotting in libraries without implementation.”
