Coastguard killed

QUETTA, March 16: Gunmen riding motorcycles shot dead a coastguard and injured two others in Balochistan, police said on Sunday.

The coastguards were sitting in a vehicle outside their camp near the town of Hub late on Saturday when they were attacked with automatic weapons. The assailants managed to flee, a police official said.

“One coastguard was killed and two others were injured,” local police official Mohammad Amin Lasi told AFP.

The attack was claimed by the Balochistan Liberation Army.—AFP
