NAUSHAHRO FEROZ, Oct 17: Leaders and workers of Jeay Sindh Mahaz (Junejo) paid tributes to one of the victims of the Thori Phatak incident, Amanullah Vistro, by laying floral wreath on his grave in Muchur on Wednesday.

Five activists of the Jeay Sindh Students Federation were shot dead by the security forces at Thori Phatak, near Manjhand, district Jamshoro, on October 17, 1984, when they were on their way to Larkana. They included Amanullah Vistro, Maalik Khushik, Zakaria Memon, Anwar Abbasi and Mithu Buledi.

General Secretary of the JSM, Mohammad Hashim Khoso, Secretary Coordination, Ahmed Khan Chandio, District President Sabit Vistro and a large number of workers visited the grave of Amanullah Vistro.

Speaking on the occasion, the Mr Khoso accused the army of killing the activists and vowed that his party would continue struggle.

He said that his party was against any army role in politics. He said national rights could not be achieved until and unless people understood the ideology and launched a sustained struggle.

The JSM leader said that National Reconciliation Ordinance was a pact between corrupt rulers and politicians to maintain status quo.

Our Hyderabad Bureau adds: JSQM and JSSF (organising committee) observed black day here on Wednesday to commemorate the Thori Phatak victims and visited their graves and laid floral wreaths.

The chairman of the organising committee, Shafi Mohammad Karnani, Serai Qurban Khuhawar and other leaders of the organising committee and JSSF laid floral wreath on the graves of Anwar Abbasi, Mithu Buledi and other martyrs.
