SHEIKHUPURA, March 18: Three proclaimed offenders escaped from a moving police van after breaking its wooden flour here on Monday evening.
The culprits involved in dozens of heinous crimes, including murder, dacoity and kidnap for ransom, were escorted to Ferozewala court from the Sheikhupura district jail for hearing of their cases. When counted, the jail officials found them missing on their return to the district jail.
Range DIG Tariq Salim reached the district jail and suspended inspector Javed Asghar, ASI Shaukat and Nazar Hussain. The additional SP has been deputed an inquiry officer. —Correspondent
