DERA ISMAIL KHAN, July 13: Police arrested three suspected militants and seized an explosives-laden vehicle and arms and ammunition and some jackets meant for suicide bombers from a house in the Akber town area on Friday.

The suspects are reported to have concealed the explosives in secret cavities of the car. Officials believe the materials were for use in suicide bombings.

The explosives were connected to the car’s handbrake. Bomb disposal squad personnel detached the explosives from the triggering device.

The arrested were identified as Jamshed, from Tank, and Nisar and Ahsan, both from Mirali in North Waziristan.

Police found seven suicide jackets, 10 mortar shells, two anti-tank mines and two missiles.
